VAT and customs: Outside the European Union: the boat is invoiced without French VAT, with an export declaration. On arrival, the buyer pays UK import VAT (20%) and, where applicable, customs duties, which are normally zero for a boat of European origin with proof of origin.
Registration: CE marking and manufacturer documents supplied. UK registration is the buyer’s responsibility (the small ships register is optional for small craft).
